Information Systems Application Analyst I- Integration Analyst (Full Time)

Information Systems Application Analyst I- Integration Analyst

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:

The Epic Application System Analyst I is responsible for novice level support and configuration of the assigned Epic and/or third-party applications. The position possesses the skills to troubleshoot, design, configure, support, and maintain software applications. Supports programs to maximize organizational performance with application systems. Provides ongoing analysis and problem-solving to ensure the integration of technology in effective workflow and process design. The position will coordinate vendor engagement in implementation and troubleshooting efforts. Responsibilities may include collaboration with other IT teams to quickly address and resolve issues, create additional documentation, and/or training to meet end-user needs. Is a steward of the hospital's mission and service excellence program.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Plans and coordinates the build of assigned information system (s).
  • Develops and implements comprehensive education plans for super users and staff members and assists with staff training as assigned.
  • Is proactive in the implementation upgrades, including testing, and staff education.
  • Adheres to system and departmental policies, procedures, guidelines, and standards.
  • Provides technical and end-user support for assigned application(s) under the direct supervision of an Application Analyst II or higher.
  • Generates creative solutions and attention to detail.
  • Analyzes operational workflows and compares electronic workflows to identify opportunities for enhancements or ways to foster end-user adoption.
  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner.
  • Gathers and analyzes information skillfully.
  • Develops alternative solutions.
  • Establishes responsible deadlines and personal work plans to manage their time effectively.
  • Takes constructive criticism into account to continually improve personal performance.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

  • 1 years’ experience in Healthcare with IT experience preferred.
  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
  • An Associate degree is required or documented successful completion of IT internship demonstrating proficiency and skill in basic client/server architecture may substitute for experience requirement.

** Requires Epic Bridges Certification within 90 days of training completion**

Physical Demands/Work Environment

  • Stand, walk, sit, stoop, reach, lift, see, speak and hear. Lifting is limited to 35 lbs. for clinical staff and to 50 lbs. for non-clinical staff. The individual must use an assisted-lift device or get another individual(s) to assist with the lift that is over these maximum limits.
  • Must be able to exchange accurate information with patients, family, peers, and medical personnel.
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Note: This position may require offsite EPIC training. In order to attend any required offsite EPIC training, individuals must present documentation of being fully vaccinated (completion of COVID series).
