HVC Registered Nurse (Full Time)

Department: Heart & Vascular Center
Location: Lake Charles, LA

The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care for patients within an assigned area of the hospital in support of medical care as directed by the cardiologists of the practice and pursuant to objectives, policies, and protocols of Heart & Vascular Center. The Registered Nurse is responsible for all patients assigned to him/her by the cardiologists of the practice.

HVC Registered Nurse - Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduate of an approved school of Nursing.
  • Minimum of two years of nursing experience
  • Current licensure to practice professional nursing in Louisiana or multi-state compact license;
  • CPR certification;
  • ACLS certification;
  • Must maintain required hours of in-service per year to meet requirements for CEs as stipulated by the State Board of Nursing.
  • Ability to communicate with patient, family, peers and medical personnel;
  • Ability to compute medication dosages for age-specific populations.
  • Requires emotional stability and resilience; Must be adaptable to change, be decisive, and demonstrate foresight.
