Registered Nurse (Full Time)

Department: Home Health
Location: Lake Charles, LA

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:
• Responsible for nursing care of assigned patients. Carries out physician directed nursing services in the home setting requiring the application of the biological, physical and social sciences and nursing skills in the care of the sick, the prevention of disease and the conservation of health.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
• Carries out physician directed nursing services in the home setting.
• Cares for patients of all ages who are admitted to Home Health.
• May be assigned as Admissions Nurse.
• Follow-up with payor sources for authorization/reimbursement purposes.
• Coordination of care between disciplines.
• Participates in RN on call rotation as assigned.
• Maintains good organizational skills, efficient time management and timely paperwork submission.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
• Graduate of an approved school of Nursing.
Minimum of one-year clinical experience in acute medical/surgical care (hospital, SNF, or LTAC) required. Home Health experience preferred.
• Current Louisiana RN license or multi-state compact license.
• CPR certification.
• Possess and maintain valid driver's license.
• Maintain required hours of continuing education.
