Sterile Processing Manager (Full Time)

Department: Sterile Processing
Location: Lake Charles, LA

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Sterile Processing Manager to oversee and lead our sterilization team in maintaining the cleanliness and sterility of medical equipment used in our facility. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and best practices in sterilization procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Certification in Sterile Processing and Distribution (CSPDT) or Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) preferred.
  • Proven experience in a sterile processing role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management position.
  • In-depth knowledge of sterilization techniques, infection control, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.


Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the sterile processing team.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure proper sterilization of medical equipment.
  • Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and maintain equipment in good working condition.
  • Train staff on proper sterilization techniques and ensure compliance with all safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with other departments to meet the sterilization needs of the facility.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure quality control standards are met.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and regulations to ensure best practices are followed in the sterile processing department.
