Registered Cardiac Sonographer

Department: Heart & Vascular Center
Location: Lake Charles, LA

The Ultrasound Tech provides high quality diagnostic echo/Doppler cardiograms/peripheral vascular studies.  Performs various patient care activities and related non-professional services, performs non-invasive tests with accurate and high quality results, assists the professional and technical nursing staff in the care of clinic patients.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school graduate;

Graduate of accredited Cardiac Ultrasound program.  

Basic computer skills. CPR certified;

Several years of vascular ultrasound experience.

Registered or registry eligible in Echo/Doppler Instrumentation;

Registered or registry eligible in Peripheral Vascular Ultrasound.

Ability to read, write and speak intelligible English;

Ability to communicate well with patient, family, peers and medical personnel.

Requires emotional stability and resilience.

Must be adaptable to change and receptive to delegated responsibilities.
