Licensed Practical Nurse Clinic

Department: Hyperbaric Medicine
Location: Lake Charles, LA

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) works with his/her team partner(s) to provide direct patient care. As a member of the Patient Care Team, the LPN is trained to perform a wide range of essential patient services including administration of hyperbaric oxygen treatments.

The LPN performs a variety of basic age-specific duties to assist in the care of the patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN), Advanced Practice Nurse, Physician Assistant, Dentist, Physician or other legally designated health care provider with prescriptive authority. All clinical care is done under the direction of the licensed health care provider as above who determines appropriate tasks for delegation. The LPN makes observations as directed and reports deviations to the RN and/or provider.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Graduate of an accredited LPN Program
  • Current license in State of Louisiana (Licensed Practical Nurse) 
  • Current CPR certification

  EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in providing direct patient care. Physician office setting desirable
  • Computer literacy
  • Previous experience working in hyperbaric medicine is desirable
