Location: Lake Charles, LA


The Collector position for the Patient Accounts Team is responsible for communication with patients with outstanding balances.  This position is in a Call Center setting where outgoing and incoming calls are handled in order to perform collection efforts and work with patients to answer any questions they  have regarding their bill.  This position is responsible for evaluation of a patients account and providing accurate responses to the patients questions.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or GED certificate.
  • At least one year experience in Healthcare or related field preferred
  • Adequate keyboarding skills (40 words per minute typing rate); Basic computer skills
  • Ability to read, write and speak intelligible English
  • Ability to communicate with patient, family, peers and medical personnel
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, including ability to discuss medical issues
  • Negotiation skills including assertiveness and being proactive
