DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:
The Tactical Sports Medicine Athletic Trainer is an embedded healthcare professional serving the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office (CPSO). In addition to providing high-quality injury evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and wellness programming for tactical athletes and CPSO personnel, this role functions as a Healthcare Navigator and System Liaison for Lake Charles Memorial Health System (LCMH).
The Athletic Trainer will identify opportunities to guide CPSO employees into appropriate LCMH services, coordinate care pathways, and collaborate with LCMH business development, marketing, and the employed medical group to strengthen relationships, streamline access, and support population-health initiatives. This position blends clinical expertise with strategic outreach, relationship management, and proactive engagement across the LCMH enterprise.
SUPERVISION: reports directly to the Director, Louisiana Sports Medicine Alliance, with dotted-line collaboration to LCMH Business Development leadership.
